Sozopol

Sozopol is a resort town in Southeastern Bulgaria, located on the Black Sea near Burgas. Sozopol is located near both the Black Sea coast and to the foot of Mount Strandja. Its center (Old Town) is located on a small peninsula. Near it are the islands of St. John and St. Peter.

Bansko is one of the most popular and fastest growing cities in Southwestern Bulgaria. It is located near Blagoevgrad, at the foot of Pirin mountain, nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. In the 19th century the village was the center of the Bulgarian spirit in the territory of Pirin Macedonia, bordering with the Greek and Turkish populations. Today the city is a popular winter resort. Besides a large tourist center Bansko attracts with its old architecture.

Melnik is a small town in Southern Bulgaria, famous for its history and its famous wines. The town has existed since the Middle Ages to the present day has preserved its unique and identical image.

Nessebar is famous resort town located on the Black Sea. It combines ancient history and modern amenities of larger resorts.

Pomorie is one of the Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria, which attracts with a varied history, excellent beaches and recreation areas. The town has existed since antiquity, but it is famous for its mud baths and salt production, which have made it an important center for centuries.

Veliko Tarnovo is famous as the ancient capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom from 1185 to 1393, then remained a major cultural and religious center under the Ottoman rule. Nowadays Veliko Tarnovo is known mostly to the medieval fortress Tsarevets, the patriarchal complex and to the many old monasteries and churches.

Vihren is the highest peak of Pirin, with its 2914 meters. The mountain is second highest in Bulgaria after Rila and on third place in the Balkans after Olympus in Greece.

According to an old legend Dobarsko was created from part of the blinded soldiers of Tsar Samuil. After the battle at Klyuch in 1014, they founded the village because of the local healing springs. The village is situated 17 km away from Razlog and is known for its mineral springs and a little church, which, however, has significant historical, cultural and spiritual significance. The church is named "St. St. Theodore Tyron and Theodore Stratilat ".

Samuil's Fortress in Klyuch Village is a place of a great tragedy in the Bulgarian history - Blinding of 14,000 disarmed soldiers on the orders of the Byzantine Emperor Basil II. The tragic events of 1014 remain in the memory of the population in the region and gradually give rise to many legends. Related to the battle of Klyuch are some names of places near Petrich - Ochevad, Chukalitsa, Smardeshnitsa and others.

In ancient times Bourgas was a small Roman city that bore the name Deltum. During the Middle Ages a small fortress was built - Pyrgos, which was used as a watchtower, and in the XVII century the town received its present name. But then nobody could even suspect what a bright future awaits him. Most of its development contributes to its convenient port, and the existence of the three lakes near the city - Atanasov, Burgasko and Mandrensko.

Malko Tarnovo is a small town in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located near the beautiful mountain Strandja, which impresses with its wild and unspoiled nature.

Varna is the second largest city in Bulgaria and the largest tourist resort located on the Black Sea. Besides its beautiful beaches, it boasts of its ancient history.
