Yumruka Peak is in the Balkan mountain range or Stara Planina, and it is part of Bulgaria’s National Park “Tsentralen Balkan” (Central Balkan). The peak itself is almost 6 000 feet high, there is a chalet nearby called “Eho” and to the west there is Vezhen peak. In summer the peak is a preferred destination for a lot of hikers because of the beautiful sceneries, enchanting nature and mountain slopes overgrown with blueberries. Yumruka peak is also a popular destination for mountain climbers.

When the weather is good and the sky serene tourists can see the Sredna Gora Mountains to the south and Vasiliov peak to the north. Botev peak can be seen to the east- this is Stara Planina’s highest point. On the peak, near the “Eho” chalet you can also find a small stone Christian chapel “St Trinity” built by the owners of the nearby mountain chalets.
