Delta backs off 2nd bag fee for some international flights
published on 01.09.2009

Delta now says it will charge the $50 fee on routes between the United States and Europe, but not on other international flights. The fee will still become effective for travel July 1 or later, but there will be no international second checked bag fee for tickets purchased May 22 or earlier.

“We constantly monitor the industry landscape to ensure our fares and fees are competitive,” Delta said in a written statement.

Also still exempt from the new fee are business class, elite frequent fliers, active duty military traveling on orders and full-fare Y-class passengers
