Continental plans to join Star Alliance on Oct 27. This is 3 days after its last flight as a SkyTeam member. The airline`s OnePass members can continue to earn and redeem miles and make reward reservations on SkyTeam partners through Oct 24. They will be able to redeem miles and use lounges within the Star network the day Continental makes the switch.
