Krastevich Village is located in the foothills of the Sredna Gora mountain, 11 km east of Strelcha. The village is the most appropriate starting point for the tourist memorial complex " Buntovna " at the foot of Mount Valk.
The complex is located in the historic area Konska polyana. It was opened officially in 1977 during the V Congress of the Bulgarian Tourist Union. The tourist can get from Strelcha, Koprivshtitsa and village Krasnovo to the Memorial complex, but the shortest route is that of Krastevich. The historic sites in the vicinity of the complex are numerous. In the area are the remains of the medieval Bulgarian fortresses Kaleto, Kulata and Kanarata. Nearby is the way in which the trading caravans passed from Koprivshtitsa.
Krastevich population actively participated in the September uprising of 1923 and actively supported the guerrilla movement. For all these events there are the many monuments and bas-reliefs (such as the one of the Hvarkovatata detachment of Georgi Benkovski), commemorative mounds, rocks carved with inscriptions and patriotic names of rebels on them, 24 fountains, each with a name like "Opalchentsi" (“Volunteers”), “April Uprising", "September Uprising", "Brothers liberators", "Fathers and sons" and others.
At the entrance of the building is erected an impressive monument in memory of the rebels during the Ottoman rule. Under the majestic oaks are buried the remains of the legendary voivoda ()chieftain) Deli Stoyan from the Krasnovo village. Severely wounded in battle, he died of his wounds in 1816 and was buried in the cemetery of Krasnovo. In 1984 his mortal remains were transferred here. Objects found in the tomb can be seen today in the museum complex. From the same village are the famous chieftains Radha and Pavle.
When you find yourself in the tourist memorial complex "Buntovna", it is best to climb up Mount Valk for the panoramas that unfold from its height. From the top man can see Sredna Gora Mountain, the Thracian Valley, Rhodope and Stara Planina.
The complex is located in the areas of Konska polyana and Kulata at 1140 meters altitude. It is a complex of four cottages, located in an old beech forest. Its construction began in 1967 and in 1968 was put into operation the first hut - "Buntovna", which later gave its name to the complex, and it was renamed "Partizanska." Then began the construction of the second hut - "Voivodska", built in the style of old houses in this region and put into operation in 1977. There were built two other huts - "Chervena gvardia" and "Srednogorska". Now in service are just the huts "Partizanska" and "Voivodska". In fron of them there is a large car park and the tourists can reach the hut with a vehicle through a 12 km maintained forest road from the village Krastevich.
